Sleep & Relaxation Guides, Tools & Apps
Choose simple sound, timer, and recording workflows.
A sleep or relaxation app can play a sound, run a timer, or organize recordings. These are distinct functions, so choose the feature you actually want before granting permissions. A sound player may work without microphone access, while a recorder requires a clear decision about what it captures and where those recordings are stored.
Try the controls while you are awake. Check the sleep timer, volume, charging setup, and whether playback behaves as expected with the screen locked. For recordings, review retention and deletion controls and consider other people who may be audible nearby. App-generated summaries should be understood in the context of their limitations. These resources explain software workflows and do not interpret symptoms or substitute for professional care.
Use the guides below for a specific task, then follow the related tools and apps when they fit your workflow. Each article links to its sources and separates a general explanation from instructions that depend on a particular app or device.
Common Problems
Playback or a timer stopped unexpectedly
Check the app’s documented background behavior, device settings, and available sleep-timer controls.
A recording is missing or unclear
Review microphone access and the app’s recording instructions. A personal recording is not by itself a diagnosis.
