How to Record an iPhone Screen with Microphone Audio
Check the recording source and make a short sample before a tutorial.
Decide which audio you need
A tutorial may need your voice, the app’s own sound, or both. Apps can restrict screen recording or protected audio. Do not assume everything audible through the phone will appear in the recording.
Make a short sample
Use the Screen Recording control in Control Center. Its expanded controls include a microphone option. Enable it when you intend to record your narration, then record a brief non-sensitive example. Apple saves screen recordings to the photo library.
Prepare the screen
Close private messages and files, review notifications, and choose a simple starting screen. Explain one action at a time and pause briefly before and after the useful section so there is room to trim. Avoid capturing passwords or recovery codes even if you plan to hide them later.
Review and edit
Play the sample with sound on and check whether your voice is clear, the app’s relevant audio is present, and small labels can be read. Record the full tutorial only after that check. Trim the result and create a smaller delivery copy if needed, while keeping the original until you are satisfied.
